Enhanced lending policy? We're on it

As part of our Continuous Improvement Programme we strive to ensure that we react to feedback and develop our offering. We are therefore pleased to confirm a number of enhancements to our lending policy as well as our affordability calculation to allow us to broaden our reach to more customers.

Our lending policy

Some of the recent changes are:

  • Lodgers
    Now acceptable as long as we receive a signed deed of consent form, however rental income should not be used as income for affordability.
  • Child tax credit
    Considered where child care costs are applicable. Child care costs to be declared net of any child tax credits.
  • 100% Child Maintenance
    Considered via court order, CSA arrangement or family agreement where deemed sustainable.
