Switching your clients mortgage using our product switch portal

Before continuing, please make sure your client is eligible to use the switch portal. If they’re not, you’ll need to complete our Illustration request form instead.

You can use our product switch portal if:

  • Your client has a standard residential mortgage account.
  • There are no more than two applicants.
  • Their current deal will end in the next four months.
  • Their LTV is less than 90%.
  • Their mortgage is currently on our Standard Variable Rate (SVR) or SVR with a potential reduction due to their LTV.
  • They’re not changing their current term or applying for additional borrowing.
  • One element (sub account) is held.
  • They pay their mortgage by Direct Debit.

You’ll need to complete our illustration request form if:

  • Your client(s) have an Assisted Mortgage, Shared Ownership, Help to Buy mortgage or if they've made a change under the Mortgage Charter you'll need to submit your instructions using our Illustration request form to provide their instructions. We're unable to offer new deals through our portal.
  • They have more than one element (sub account).
  • They’re not up to date with their mortgage payments.
    (In this case, your client will need to speak to us about the arrears on their account by calling 0800 083 8031 or 0345 241 0593).
  • They don’t pay by Direct Debit.
  • They’re looking to switch from a Discounted Variable Rate product with no early repayment charges and for the switch to be effective from the first of the following month.
  • They’re looking to borrow more or change their mortgage term. Please read our product switch page for more information.
