Making everyone feel welcome

We’re all about celebrating what makes each of us unique. There’s a place for everyone here and we’re always learning how to better support and champion individuality. No matter your background, we want you to grow, be recognised for the great work you do and feel that you belong here.

We’re a Disability Confident Leader and encourage disabled applicants and all from diverse backgrounds to apply. We’ll do what we can to adjust our recruitment journey and offer a guaranteed interview to disabled applicants who meet what we’re looking for.

If you need any support with applying to one of our roles, get in touch at careers@westbrom.co.uk.

Join us on our journey

We want everyone to play a part in helping to shape the West Brom and make a real difference to how it feels to work here, so our key focus areas are to:

  • Encourage and support colleagues of all diverse backgrounds to progress into management and senior roles.
  • Continue progress to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable to disclose a disability (physical & neurodivergent) without any stigma.
  • Supporting female colleagues into senior management roles to make sure we have fair gender representation.
  • Our resource groups

Made up of representatives from all business areas and diverse backgrounds, our colleague-led groups aim to foster a culture where we all feel valued and our individual identities are respected.

    Helping communities thrive

Alongside our day-to-day work, we go the extra mile to do the right thing for customers, communities and charities. We educate the next generation to be financially confident and we support numerous local charitable causes, including a local charity of the year, through grants, fundraising and volunteering.

Giving back one day at a time

Everyone gets two paid volunteering days each year to support any charitable cause - you can either join a volunteering day organised by us, or find something that’s personal to you.

Volunteering is a great way to connect as a team, get out of the office and do something different!

    Fundraising to make a difference

If volunteering isn’t for you, why not help out with the numerous fundraising events we host throughout the year.

With your help we can make a big difference to our local charities and communities.

    Bringing financial education to all

We work with local schools across our region to help young people feel confident in planning for their financial future.

We even partner with schools for children with additional educational needs, offering tailored sessions to make sure everyone has the opportunity to learn about money.
